Are you a seasoned process engineer looking for a challenging role in the oil and gas industry? Do you have experience in production facilities management, brownfield maintenance, and project leadership? We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at Mellitah Oil and Gas B.V.
Job Summary:We are looking for a Process Engineer to oversee the operation of our upstream and midstream production facilities remotely, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry best practices. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in process engineering within exploration and production, with a focus on production facilities management, brownfield maintenance, and project leadership.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the operation of Mellitah's upstream and midstream production facilities remotely, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry best practices.
- Plan and manage brownfield maintenance and modification projects, working closely with in-country teams.
- Provide remote support for SimOps projects, ensuring safe and efficient execution of concurrent operations.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to maintain the safety of production environments during complex activities.
- Lead key projects from initial concept through to HUC > commissioning and handover.
- Ensure all process engineering operations comply with Mellitah's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
- Collaborate remotely with Mellitah's internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring that all process engineering solutions align with both operational needs and long-term strategic objectives.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in process engineering within exploration and production, with a focus on production facilities management, brownfield maintenance, and project leadership.
- Strong knowledge of process simulation software (e.g., ASPEN Plus, HYSYS).
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex production systems remotely.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale projects remotely, with the ability to oversee project execution and ensure timely delivery from a distance.
