Key Responsibilities:
As a pivotal member of the team, you will report to the Senior Procurement Manager and be responsible for overseeing categories of expenditure classified as Technology Partnerships and Software, with an approximate annual budget of £9 million.

  • Lead all RFx processes, managing sourcing, negotiation, and contracting for high and medium-value categories and complex procurement.
  • Evaluate suppliers during the onboarding process and implement procurement strategies aligned with category management.
  • Negotiate complex agreement terms and conditions.
  • Oversee supplier performance and relationship management throughout the contract duration, including contributions to risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders effectively.

Who You Are:
This position is well-suited for a Category Lead Manager with a solid background in Software and Information Technology.

Essential Qualifications:
We seek candidates with:

  • A proven history of reducing costs while enhancing value within a procurement framework.
  • Experience in strategic sourcing and category management methodologies.
  • Demonstrable expertise in category management within a procurement or commercial setting, particularly in Software.
  • Experience in formulating category plans and strategies.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, showcasing excellent stakeholder management skills.
