TPF Recruitment, a prominent recruitment agency specializing in accountancy practices in the South East, is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join a reputable chartered accountancy firm. This role is based in Wokingham, Berkshire, and involves a diverse range of responsibilities including accounts preparation, taxation, bookkeeping, and VAT management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Assisting in the production of management accounts.
  • Managing personal tax, corporate tax, and VAT submissions.
  • Conducting general bookkeeping tasks utilizing software such as Xero or QuickBooks.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff and trainees.


Candidate Requirements
  • Currently pursuing ACCA / ACA qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in a UK accountancy environment, handling accounts and tax for a varied client portfolio including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accountancy practice setting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative approach to teamwork and a commitment to supporting junior colleagues.
