Laboratory Operations Manager

**Job Title:** Laboratory Operations Manager
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Operations Manager to join our team at Fast Fire Pizza Company LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of laboratory operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the laboratory, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- **Leadership and Management:** Provide strategic leadership and direction to the laboratory team, ensuring that all staff are working effectively and efficiently to achieve business objectives.
- **Quality and Safety:** Ensure that all laboratory operations are conducted in accordance with UKAS accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and RSA requirements, and that all staff are trained and competent to perform their duties.
- **Sample Management:** Oversee the receipt, processing, and analysis of samples, ensuring that all samples are handled and processed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and that all results are accurate and reliable.
- **Record Keeping:** Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of laboratory activities, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports, and ensure that all records are compliant with regulatory requirements.
- **Training and Development:** Identify training needs of staff and arrange and undertake staff appraisals, ensuring that all staff are competent to perform their duties and that the laboratory is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve business objectives.
- **Health and Safety:** Ensure that all safety, hygiene, and health and safety requirements are adhered to within the laboratory, and that all staff are aware of and comply with laboratory safety procedures.
- **Qualifications:** Hold an appropriate technical qualification and/or have relevant experience in laboratory operations.
- **Experience:** Have working experience of quality management systems and procedures, and be familiar with the technical aspects of food and water microbiology.
- **Skills:** Possess excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of staff.
- **Communication:** Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels and with external stakeholders.
