About the Role

The Asset Planning Lead will be responsible for leading our paraplanning team and providing leadership, mentorship, and technical support to team members. This role requires a strong understanding of financial planning and the ability to maintain high standards of output within agreed timescales.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Act as team leader and people manager within the paraplanning team
  2. Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical support to team members
  3. Ensure adequate training is provided where required
  4. Maintain output to a high standard and within agreed timescales
  5. Support the firm's advisers in completing non-client facing tasks related to the preparation and administration of recommendations
  6. Liaise with advisers as appropriate
  7. Deal with client queries in an efficient and timely manner
  8. Ensure timely updates and reports are issued to clients
  9. Review client investment portfolios, asset allocations, risk profiles, and prepare suitability reports and applications/proposal forms

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in financial planning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and manage a team. You will also need to have a positive attitude, be able to take on and understand the environment we operate in, and have general IT skills.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  1. Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII) or equivalent
  2. Chartered status or working towards it
  3. Experience of managing a small team
  4. Practical experience with cashflow forecasting (ideally Voyant)
  5. Competent user of Microsoft Office
