About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Coordinator to join our team at BAM Nuttall, working on the Hinkley Point C project in Somerset. As a key member of the Pre-Construction and Delivery teams, you will be responsible for coordinating design requirements for permanent assets within the Roads and Networks (RAN) scope of works.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with designers and other team members to ensure effective design delivery.
  • Manage project documentation, including client and third-party designer inputs.
  • Treat Health and Safety, sustainability, cost, time, constructability, and quality as primary drivers of approach.
  • Assimilate information and summarise it for communication with the project team.
  • Contribute to written submission material and attend pre-construction meetings.
  • Coordinate design and engineering through personal contact with key stakeholders and project team.
  • Contribute engineering expertise and advice to add value to design development.
  • Keep project management informed of activities and progress.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring design programmes.
  • Contribute to design and project risk register.
  • Prepare material and submission documents in support of planned engineered solutions and construction methods.
