Job Title: Private Client Solicitor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our team at Davies and Partners Solicitors.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance to clients on a range of private client matters, including wills, probate, LPAs, trusts, estates, tax, and court of protection. They will also be expected to maintain client care to the highest standard, handle queries from other offices, and travel to those offices as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct day-to-day conduct of Private Client files and be responsible for all aspects of work connected with Private Client.
  2. Handle queries from the company's other offices and travel to those offices as required.
  3. Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients on a range of private client matters.
  4. Liaise with the Legal Director on financial budgeting and training requirements/opportunities.
  5. Achieve legitimate billing in line with figures to be agreed with the Legal Director.
  6. Assist senior members of the Department with substantial case files and exhibit flexibility, particularly in times of holiday/sickness.
  7. Apply proper professional standards, gaining an awareness of the provisions of the office manual and observing best practice in the prevention of claims against the company for professional negligence.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience working as a Private Client Solicitor in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-organisation and proactivity skills.
  • A willingness to undertake business development initiatives.
  • Ability to take responsibility and solve problems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain client confidentiality.
  • Adaptability to the needs of the business.
  • Competence in the effective use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT).
  • Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
