Job Title: Driver's Mate

Location: Avonmouth

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and physically fit individual to join our team as a Driver's Mate in Avonmouth. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for unloading deliveries, assisting the driver, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unloading Deliveries: Unload bags weighing up to 16kg from delivery vehicles, using a pallet truck or manually when needed.
  • Physical Fitness: Perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
  • Team Support: Assist the driver in all aspects of the delivery process.
  • Adherence to Safety: Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Physical Stamina: The role requires lifting and moving heavy goods, making physical fitness essential.
  • Punctuality: Due to the early start time, reliability and punctuality are critical.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support the driver in completing deliveries efficiently.

What We Offer:

  • Potential for a temp-to-perm position after the initial 2-week contract.
  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.
  • Early start time, allowing for the rest of your day to be free.
  • Guaranteed 9.6 hours per shift, ensuring consistent income.
