Job Title: Managing Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team at EQUANS. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring accurate cost control and effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Commercial Manager in financial pre-commencement activities, including pricing of works, appointment of consultants, and initial subcontract negotiations.
  • Manage the efficient delivery of each scheme, ensuring accurate financial management and reportage in accordance with company procedures.
  • Carry out key commercial tasks, including bonus payments, subcontract procurement and management, site measurement, internal and external valuations, and management of change orders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with site teams, office staff, clients, and their representatives.
Requirements:
  • Industry experience in the role of a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong understanding of social housing contracts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients.
  • Good understanding of budget forecasting, cash flow, and CVR reporting.
  • Ability to multitask, with strong organizational and time management skills.
