Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and submission of planning applications, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct site appraisals and feasibility studies to identify potential development opportunities.
  • Prepare planning reports and supporting documents, including technical reports and presentations.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Support senior planners with research and the planning application process, including data analysis and report writing.
  • Participate in site visits and client meetings to gather information and provide updates on project progress.

About You:

  • Degree in Town Planning or a related field, with a strong understanding of the UK planning system.
  • Membership or working towards membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is preferred.
  • Experience in planning, within a consultancy or local authority, is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong report writing and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proactive and eager to learn, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car, with the ability to travel to client sites and meetings.
