**Job Title:** CHP Technician - Generator Field Service Engineer
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CHP Technician to join our team as a Generator Field Service Engineer. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing the performance of a fleet of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) spark ignition biogas engines located across various Thames Water sites.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance of the fleet of CHP Spark Ignition generators within a geographical region.
- Work with current CHP support staff and suppliers to ensure all maintenance is carried out safely, with the least possible downtime, and within budget.
- Complete service records and reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Identify parts required for order, lubricants, and waste.
- Demonstrate a zero-compromise attitude towards health, safety, and wellbeing in all aspects of work.
- Ensure excellent customer service.
- Work to benefit other team members with skills from product training.
**Requirements:**
- In-depth knowledge of all aspects of the operation and maintenance of internal combustion engines.
- Ability to carry out thorough, comprehensive, and methodical diagnostics on engine, generator, and associated systems.
- Ability to operate and optimize assets using engine/generator controls, such as ComAp, and DIA.NE and TEM Evo.
- Competent to work to a high level of quality, alone or as part of a team.
**What We Offer:**
- Competitive salary offering up to £54,000 per annum depending on your level of experience.
- 24 days holiday per year increasing to 28 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
