UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH) is seeking an experienced Philanthropy Manager to join our team. As a world-leading centre for excellent science across water, land, and air, we provide data, insights, and solutions that researchers, governments, and businesses need to create a productive, resilient, and healthy environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with other departments to address challenges associated with philanthropic funding, including financial constraints and contractual requirements.
- Work with colleagues to produce assets and deliver engagements required to raise our profile to funders.
- Oversee the ongoing management of relationships with philanthropic funders.
- Secure six-figure funding from trusts and foundations for research projects.
- Develop and nurture relationships with different profiles of philanthropic funders, including charitable trusts, high-net-worth individuals, and major donors.
- Assess strategic opportunities and provide business and financial acumen.
- Develop high-quality funding proposals for philanthropic audiences and reports.
- Communicate and network with funders in the UK and internationally.
- Utilize software packages, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of securing significant funding from trusts and foundations.
- Strong English writing skills for developing funding proposals and reports.
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
- Ability to travel and engage with funders.
- Proficiency in using software packages, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
