An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Versatile Maintenance Engineer to play a crucial role within a leading organization in the Chemical Manufacturing sector.

This permanent, day-shift position involves collaborating with the Engineering team to ensure the efficiency and safety of chemical production operations on a COMAH site. Responsibilities include upgrading and installing new machinery as necessary while maintaining existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute planned preventative maintenance schedules and inspections for on-site machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • Adhere to the site's Permit to Work and risk assessment protocols.
  • Maintain accurate job records and update documentation as needed.
  • Oversee the upkeep of liquid transfer systems, relief devices, pumps, tanks, valves, gaskets, and other essential equipment.
  • Assist in the design and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with current safety standards.
  • Identify and implement projects aimed at continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate for the Versatile Maintenance Engineer role will possess a HNC or equivalent qualification in an electrical or engineering discipline, along with hands-on experience demonstrating a successful track record. Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly within the Chemical sector, is advantageous, along with an understanding of COMAH regulations. An 18th Edition qualification is preferred.
