About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic team on B4 Neurosurgery and C4 Neurology. This role offers the opportunity to lead and support a team of nurses, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the flow of patients between B4 Neurosurgery, C4 Neurology, T4 Neuro high care, ICU, Theatres, and other external organizations.
- Supervise students, new staff members, and junior nurses, providing direction, mentorship, and performance appraisals.
- Collaborate with the Ward Manager to ensure the highest standards of patient care, environment maintenance, and adherence to quality protocols.
- Assist in the assessment and recognition of emergencies, taking appropriate action and guiding others in doing the same.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment for both patients and staff.
