Key Responsibilities- Supplier Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers to secure the most competitive pricing and profit levels, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.
- Category Management: Develop and implement category management strategies to provide customers with tailored product offerings and promotions, driving sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing suppliers, as well as develop relationships with new suppliers to expand our product offerings.
- Inventory Management: Implement effective inventory management practices to minimize costs associated with residuals, overstocks, and out-of-date stock.
- Networking & Representation: Represent DCS Group at industry events, meetings, and seminars, building relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
- Prioritization & Decision-Making: Ability to prioritize and make effective commercial decisions in time-sensitive situations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Commercial Awareness: A solid understanding of commercial principles, with the ability to negotiate and influence decisions.
- Technical Skills: Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
