About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Secondary SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of each pupil, promoting social and emotional development and speech and language skills.
  • Use behaviour management strategies to create a positive and orderly learning environment, fostering a sense of community and respect among students.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to develop and implement effective behaviour management plans, ensuring the needs of all students are met.
  • Monitor and evaluate pupil responses through a range of assessment strategies, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
  • Promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and grow, and take an active role in promoting and safeguarding their welfare.

  • Has a natural ability to empathise with students who exhibit challenging behaviours and is patient and understanding in their approach.
  • Is organised, flexible, resilient, and physically fit, with a down-to-earth sense of humour and a positive attitude towards the challenges of working with SEN students.
  • Is committed to providing a high-quality education and is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students.
