About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Drainage Engineer to join our team at Waterman Aspen. As a key member of our South team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing drainage solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop drainage systems for public, private, and third sector projects
  • Ensure compliance with UK standards such as DRMB, TSRGD, Manual for Street, MCHW, CDM, and local authority standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver drainage design interfaces (e.g. highways, rail, geotechnical, environmental, structural)
  • Prepare reports and specifications, and collect and assimilate data and statistics for progress and technical reports
  • Travel within and outside the region as required
Requirements
  • UK experience in drainage design projects
  • Relevant qualification in an Engineering/Technical discipline or equivalent experience in the UK
  • Working towards professional membership/accreditation with an industry-recognized Professional Body
  • The legal right to work in the UK
  • A full UK driving license
Desirable Skills
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic modeling software such as Micro Drainage
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil3D or similar
  • Familiarity with 3D design tools and BIM
  • Experience in S278, S38, S104, and S106 design and applications
