Job Title: Logistics/Forklift Operator

Are you an experienced Logistics/Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in the manufacturing industry? Our client, a leading organisation in the field, is seeking a skilled operator to join their dynamic logistics team.

Responsibilities:
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Report any Health & Safety issues to your line manager promptly.
  • Issue material to the line side efficiently.
  • Use Syteline procedures to ensure proper handling of materials.
  • Collect bulk material from the machines and locate it in the designated areas.
  • Conduct weekly stock checks of bulk material to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Move material for quality technicians and supervisors as required.
  • Sort waste into the correct waste stream to contribute to a sustainable environment.
  • Communicate with the warehouse and logistics manager regarding waste collection needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the yard and line side.
  • Load waste material onto appropriate collection vehicles.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork for collections, deliveries, and Goods In.
  • Ensure all finished goods are checked, packed, and loaded as per the collection schedule.
  • Assist with Goods-In loading, booking, and put away.
  • Keep all equipment clean, tidy, and report any issues.
  • Be open to other tasks as requested by your line manager.
Essential Skills and Characteristics:
  • Be a flexible individual who is adaptable to different work situations.
  • Possess good communication skills in both written and spoken English.
  • Hold valid forklift counterbalance, reach, and pivot/Bendi certificates.
  • Have the ability to lift up to 20 Kgs.
  • Work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excel at multitasking and prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Possess basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Willingness to work in a shift model (2 or 3 shifts), totaling 42.5 hours per week (paid 40 hours).
  • Flexibility to work overtime on weekends, if required.

This position is based at our client's facility in Slough, UK.
