About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Community Independence Service (CIS) team in Kensington and Chelsea. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with complex health and social care needs to maintain their independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify individuals' capabilities and develop personalized reablement plans.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers and independent living assessors, to provide comprehensive support.
  • Guide and mentor colleagues to promote a culture of learning and excellence.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, their families, and carers to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based interventions to deliver high-quality care.
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified and registered Occupational Therapist with a community-based background and significant experience in carrying out OT assessments. You will need to be sensitive, empathetic, and able to work effectively with individuals who have new diagnoses or injuries. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
