Job Title: Senior Network Delivery Manager

At TalentHawk, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Delivery Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering network separation, establishing independent network infrastructure, and designing and deploying functional networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Network Separation: Ensure the successful separation of network operations for our client.
  • Establish Independent NESO Network: Develop and maintain an independent network infrastructure.
  • Design and Deploy Functional Networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN): Create efficient and effective local, wireless, and wide area networks.
  • Configure and Install Network Devices: Set up and manage software, servers, routers, and other networking hardware.
  • Monitor Network Performance and Integrity: Regularly check network health and ensure consistent performance.
  • Resolve Escalated Issues: Address and troubleshoot complex problems escalated by support tiers, both cloud-based and local.
  • Maintain Complete Technical Documentation: Keep thorough records of network configurations, changes, and performance.
  • Suggest Network Improvements: Propose enhancements to improve network performance, capacity, and scalability.
  • Build and Maintain Network Infrastructure: Ensure the stability and efficiency of the network's physical and logical structure.
  • Collaborate with Network Architects: Work with design experts to implement practical and functional network solutions.
  • Install and Configure Networking Hardware: Deploy necessary networking equipment and ensure it operates optimally.
  • Create and Implement Security Measures: Develop strategies to protect the network from internal and external threats.
  • Conduct Regular Network Performance Tests: Perform routine assessments to ensure network reliability and performance.
  • Delegate Networking Maintenance Tasks: Assign maintenance responsibilities to team members and ensure they are carried out effectively.
  • Handle Escalated Network Support Issues: Provide advanced troubleshooting for critical network problems.
  • Draw Up Network Status Reports: Generate detailed reports on network status, issues, and performance metrics.
  • Troubleshoot Technical Problems: Address and resolve technical challenges that arise within the network.
  • Ensure Up-to-Date Software and Hardware: Regularly update network software and hardware to the latest versions.
  • Manage and Mentor Junior Network Engineering Staff: Provide guidance and training to junior team members.
  • Abide by Industry Standards and Regulations: Ensure all network operations comply with relevant standards and regulations.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Experience in Delivering Major Network Programs: Proven track record of successfully managing significant network projects.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage a diverse group of complex stakeholders effectively.
  • Navigating Ambiguity and Driving Delivery: Skilled in handling unclear situations and pushing projects to completion.
  • Industry-Related Experience: Significant experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator.
  • Network Administration and Architecture: Strong background in managing and designing network systems.
  • Understanding of Communication and Routing Protocols: In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and other networking protocols.
  • Network Security and Access Control: Familiarity with security models and practices.
  • Scripting Knowledge: Proficiency in coding languages such as Python or Perl for scripting purposes.
  • Experience with Network Diagnostic Tools: Proficient with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
  • Understanding of Network Operating Systems: Solid knowledge of network operating systems like JUNOS and Cisco IOS.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Capable of managing tasks and responsibilities without constant supervision.
  • Educational Background: BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
