Questech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled QHSE Officer to join our client's team in Huddersfield.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and experienced QHSE professional to provide technical assistance in the development, implementation, and review of safety arrangements and policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling the Health & Safety policy, ensuring compliance with legislation, and providing training to employees.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical assistance in the development, implementation, and review of safety arrangements and policies.
- Control the Health & Safety policy, ensuring compliance with legislation.
- Organize and control the Health & Safety committee.
- Provide and organize Health & Safety training as requested by management and the safety committee.
- Ensure risk assessments procedures and processes are in line with current legislation.
- Monitor Health & Safety throughout the company, ensuring compliance from all employees and management team.
- Obtain advice from external bodies as requested by management or the safety committee.
- Control first aid arrangements, ensuring all first aid representatives have adequate training.
- Control accident and incident reporting, liaising with external bodies as and when required.
- Ensure all employees have the required level of Health & Safety training.
- Control fire safety procedures.
- Provide a Health & Safety induction to all new employees.
- Assist in the development of risk assessments associated with equipment design, manufacture, transportation, and installation/commissioning.
- Conduct internal audits in line with the plan and follow up/close non-conformance to ensure compliance with ISO 45001.
- Coordinate and maintain Fit4Nuclear Accreditation.
- Manage health surveillance of employees as required by their role.
- Facilities management, including managing contractor control, ensuring compliance with legislation.
This role is a standard Monday to Friday position with a salary between £45,000pa - £55,000pa (dependent on experience).
