PEBBLE RECRUITMENT LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to contribute to a dynamic and innovative multi-disciplinary consultancy.

The successful candidate will oversee a diverse range of projects, including development management, strategic master planning, advocating for development plan allocations on behalf of landowners and developers, negotiating with planning authorities and their statutory consultees, and preparing comprehensive planning applications and appeals. This role will also involve local development plan representations, policy assessments, site evaluations, and the provision of supporting documentation, often in collaboration with architects, engineers, environmental specialists, and other professionals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of small to large-scale projects across various development sectors, including residential, tourism, hospitality, estates, and commercial ventures, with a focus on environmental initiatives.
  • Oversee planning applications (both major and local), Development Plans submissions, and appeals.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments to evaluate sites for development potential.
  • Collaborate with planning officers, architects, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare planning appraisals for prospective projects.
  • Perform research and analysis on sites, including planning policies and historical case studies.
  • Develop fee proposals and ensure project completion within budgetary constraints.
  • Leverage existing networking opportunities to enhance business development.

Qualifications:

  • RTPI Accredited Degree or equivalent.
  • Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI).
  • RICS Planning & Development Surveyor.

Required Skills:

  • Exhibit a proactive and positive approach to fulfilling client and business needs.
  • Possess exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative approach to project management while adhering to timelines.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of Scottish planning practices, procedures, and legislation.
  • Engage effectively in community consultations.
  • Exhibit strong written reporting skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Clean driving license is essential.
