Operations Manager for Waste Management

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our facility, ensuring the safe and effective management of our waste processing operations.

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in waste management and substantial experience in supervising similar healthcare waste facilities. This role entails comprehensive responsibility for the security of the facility and all associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of staff across various shift patterns, handling disciplinary actions, grievances, absences, and performance evaluations.
  • Optimize machinery performance by collaborating with team leaders to address issues and develop reliability strategies.
  • Ensure all scheduled maintenance tasks are completed and documented by operational staff.
  • Utilize computer systems and tracking tools to oversee workflow and quality assurance processes.
  • Maintain an updated inventory of plant spare parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Investigate and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Evaluate the performance of operational staff and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular assessments of plant capacity for effective planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations for all personnel on-site and off-site.

  • This position typically requires working hours from 7am to 5pm (45 hours per week).
