Experienced Orthoptist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Orthoptist to join our team at Queen Mary's in Sidcup and Orpington Hospital. The successful candidate will work closely with our Consultant Ophthalmologists and support various ophthalmology services.

• Provide a high-quality and comprehensive Orthoptic service.
• Ensure the effective and efficient running of the Orthoptic and Ophthalmology service.
• Deliver teaching and competency-based learning programs for Ophthalmic colleagues and Orthoptic undergraduates.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. The successful candidate will be involved in highly specialized clinics, including adult Orthoptic, Paediatric, and Neuro-ophthalmology. They will also be responsible for coordinating clinics, assessing lid and pupils, and performing Goldmann perimetry and paediatric perimetry.

• Degree in Orthoptics.
• Masters or Masters level experience.
• Clinical Tutor Course.

We offer a competitive salary of £51,883 to £58,544 a year, including a high-cost allowance. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work as an extended scope practitioner in an ophthalmic subspecialty.
