We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team and work on various water treatment projects. As a key member of the MEICA Team, you will be responsible for managing the mechanical elements of these projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the mechanical aspects of water treatment projects, including design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Supervise and mentor site staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other project team members, including electrical engineers, to ensure a cohesive and effective project delivery.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring they are aligned with the client's requirements and expectations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project team members, including graduates and apprentices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve project delivery and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant mechanical engineering qualification (e.g., BEng, MEng) and experience in a similar role.
  • CITB 5 Day SMSTS (desirable) and CSCS Card (desirable).
  • EUSR Blue Card (desirable) and experience working in a contractor-based background within the water industry.
  • Understanding of NEC4 condition contract and budget control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
