Job Title: Swimming Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Swimming Assistant to join our team at Lampton Leisure. As a Swimming Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Swimming Teachers in delivering high-quality swimming lessons to children and adults.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Swimming Teachers in teaching swimming techniques and skills to students of all ages and abilities.
  • Help create a safe and enjoyable pool environment for all members, including parents and guardians of child members.
  • Instruct students on proper swimming techniques and water safety.
  • Join students in the water to provide additional demonstrations and hands-on support.
  • Assess students' skills and progress, providing feedback to help them improve.
  • Ensure child safeguarding concerns are reported promptly.
  • Perform various administrative tasks associated with the position, such as class registers.
Requirements:
  • Hold an ASA/Swim England- SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) qualification.
  • Be passionate about helping people of all ages and backgrounds learn to swim or become stronger, faster, or more confident in the water.
  • Have excellent communication skills, including listening, questioning, and delivering effective feedback.
