Job Description

Gentrian is a leading provider of innovative solutions in the aerospace and defense industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Photonics Technician Operator (PTO) to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optical Library Deployment: Support the deployment of optical libraries for code server installation, ensuring seamless integration with mission-critical embedded software.
  • Measurement Devices and Training: Provide training and support for measurement devices, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Multi-Physics Capabilities: Expand our capabilities to include multi-physics simulations, such as optical systems optimization and validation.
Key Objectives
  • Modeling and Validation: Model lighting system performance and validate materials and light sources using physically correct colorimetry and photometry studies.
  • Light Propagation Analysis: Analyze light propagation to improve the performance of lighting systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations and requirements through specification analysis and tolerance studies.
  • Optimal Design Parameters: Determine optimal mechanical and optical design parameters to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Certifications: ETA Certification, PSE (Professional Simulation engineering certification), Photonics Technician Operator (PTO) certification, Optical Instrument Design certification, and one of the listed DoD 8570 Certifications.
  • Experience: 30+ years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in photonics and optical systems.
Interview Process
  • Cognitive Ability Test: Stage 1 of the interview process, assessing cognitive abilities.
  • Cognitive Assessment Screening: Stage 2, conducted by a 30+ years experienced psychologist.
  • Pre-Screening: Stage 3, including verification checks and DV security clearance.
  • CEO, CTO, and Chief Engineer Interview: Stage 4, final interview with senior leadership.
