About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at JMC Legal Recruitment. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance to our clients in the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to our clients on all aspects of financial services regulation
  • Oversee all legal aspects of the company, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Advise the executive team on legal matters and play a crucial role in shaping the company's legal strategy
  • Manage corporate legal matters and implement FCA-driven policies that align with the company's strategic objectives
  • Negotiate and draft commercial agreements with technology partners and vendors
  • Advise on legal risks associated with commercial transactions

Requirements

  • UK Qualified lawyer with a strong background in financial services regulation (8-15 PQE)
  • Experience advising and/or working for broker-dealers with a solid understanding of UK securities laws
  • Experience working with regulators or in a regulated business environment is a plus
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented approach
