Advanced Cardiac Physiology Specialist

We are seeking applications for a permanent position within our Cardiology Department, focusing on cardiac physiology. This role is part of an expansion initiative within our echo service, and we welcome dedicated and skilled professionals to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in echocardiography, demonstrating proficiency in advanced techniques such as transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE), stress and contrast echocardiography, as well as adult congenital echocardiography and 3/4D imaging. Experience in paediatric echocardiography is highly desirable.
Applicants should hold BSE adult proficiency accreditation, along with professional registration and a BSc in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology). Equivalent qualifications combined with relevant knowledge and experience will also be considered.
We are open to considering experienced band 6 staff for this position. Successful candidates will undergo a comprehensive training and assessment program for a minimum of 12 months, leading to potential advancement to band 7.
In addition to standard cardiology clinics, the department offers specialized services including a valve clinic, heart failure clinic, and a physiologist-led valve disease echo clinic.
