Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analysis Lead Specialist to join our team at The Co-operative Group. As a key member of our Central Costs team, you will play a critical role in providing financial performance reporting and analysis to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial plans that align with business objectives and provide accurate forecasts and budgets.
  • Update and refine financial models to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Design and deliver insightful financial performance reports to stakeholders, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular reconciliation and variance analysis to identify areas of improvement and optimize financial performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues across the organization to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance financial planning and reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with budgets and forecasts (e.g., P&Ls, balance sheets, cash flows).
  • Proficiency in financial planning and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs and advanced formulas).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-finance colleagues.
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to influence and challenge people inclusively.
