Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team at James Adams, a leading provider of cutting-edge financial services. As a key member of our IT team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our network infrastructure to ensure peak performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and configure Cisco-based network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
  • Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot network problems and outages, working quickly to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
  • Implement and manage network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to protect data integrity and privacy.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to support system integration, upgrades, and deployments.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and procedures to ensure accurate records and compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with the latest Cisco technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to enhance network performance and security.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Cisco Network Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in designing and managing Cisco networks.
  • Extensive knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
  • Proficiency in network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs.
  • Experience with network security tools and practices, including VPNs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
  • Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
