We are seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist to join a dynamic insurance organization within their dedicated finance department, directly supporting the Financial Controller. This role presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking company that values a collaborative and supportive work environment.
This position is a fixed-term contract designed to cover a temporary absence, allowing for a flexible work arrangement with a combination of in-office and remote work. The compensation package includes a competitive salary along with additional incentives and benefits.
The ideal candidate for the Financial Reporting Specialist role should possess:
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Proficiency in both French and English is highly desirable.
- Part-qualified CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent certification.
- Understanding of US GAAP Accounting principles.
- Familiarity with automated accounts payable systems.
- Advanced skills in Excel and experience with accounting software (knowledge of Sage X3 and Tableau is a plus).
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Experience in the insurance or reinsurance sectors is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Specialist include:
- Preparation of monthly financial reports (including Journals, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable).
- Conducting balance sheet reconciliations.
- Reviewing and approving payment transactions.
- Developing cash flow forecasts and managing cash resources.
- Assisting in budget preparation and financial forecasting activities.
- Evaluating and enhancing financial systems and operational processes.
- Collaborating with various departments to provide financial insights and support for projects.
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal control measures.
