Job Description

As a key member of the Urecruit team, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Team Lead to join our operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Boiler operation and steam raising: Ensure the safe and efficient operation of boilers and steam-raising equipment.
  • Leadership skills: Provide guidance and leadership to team members, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Permit to work preparation, issuing and cancelling: Develop and implement effective permit-to-work procedures to ensure safe working practices.
  • Plant and equipment isolations including HV and LV: Conduct thorough isolations of plant and equipment to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Authorized or Senior Authorization Person status: Hold current certification as an Authorized or Senior Authorization Person, with a working knowledge of site safety rules.
  • Safety certification: Possess a recognized safety certification, such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
  • Good analytical problem-solving skills: Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues and improve operational efficiency.
  • Power Generation and Turbine Operation: Develop and implement effective strategies for power generation and turbine operation.
  • Balance of plant including Compressors and cooling plant: Ensure the safe and efficient operation of balance of plant equipment, including compressors and cooling plant.
  • DCS control: Develop and implement effective DCS control strategies to optimize plant performance.
  • Flue Gas Treatment: Develop and implement effective flue gas treatment strategies to minimize environmental impact.
