Job Summary:

Venture Recruitment Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for managing the finances of our client, a leading group of companies in the care sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly and annual financial reports using Sage 50, Power BI, and Excel. Investigate and report on discrepancies and variances.
  • Team Support: Support Account Managers and Assistants with day-to-day queries.
  • Liaison and Reporting: Regularly liaise with the Operations Director, HR Directors, CFO, and CEO, and produce ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Credit Control: Oversee credit control functions across the group, including managing private and local authority funding customers.
  • Senior Management Participation: Attend monthly Senior Management Team meetings, present financial results, and provide strategic insights.
  • Auditing and Controls: Conduct home audits and test internal controls.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with the Operations Director and Regional Managers, and communicate financial insights across the business.
  • Invoice Approval: Approve purchase invoices on Paperless.
  • Budgeting Support: Assist the CFO with annual budget preparations.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in financial management, ideally within a similar sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Sage 50, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
