Job Description

**Role:** Mechanical Design Engineer

**Type:** Permanent

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Salisbury on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software
  • Work on full lifecycle design projects, from concept to final assembly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets project requirements
  • Produce technical drawings and documentation, including project reports and plans
  • Update 3D models and drawings as needed

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar design/mechanical engineering position
  • Excellent proficiency with CAD software, including SolidWorks
  • Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, fluid handling, hydraulics, piping, instrumentation, structural steel, or similar industries
  • Degree/HNC/HND/BTEC/NVQ qualified in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Proven ability to drive engineering development and innovation
