ESG Finance Reporting Specialist

The ESG Finance Reporting Specialist will be a key member of the Group Finance team, reporting directly to the Group Reporting Manager. They will oversee the ESG financial reporting process, working closely with the Sustainability team and other stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, in line with external standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the overall ESG and taxonomy approach for the Group and ensure accurate ESG financial reporting which complies with external standards and regulatory frameworks
  • Work with the Sustainability team to design a robust ESG reporting data model that seamlessly integrates financial data for comprehensive and transparent reporting
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across departments (Finance, SaaS/Cloud, Procurement, Risk, Operations) to ensure alignment on ESG initiatives
  • Monitor the ever-changing landscape of ESG reporting standards and stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in sustainable finance, proactively proposing new strategies and innovations
  • Support the development and implementation of the Group's climate transition plan, developing and monitoring metrics and targets for climate-related impacts on our business
  • Work closely with Head of Group Reporting and Group Financial Reporting Manager on any other ad hoc activities and projects
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) preferred, with background of working in medium to large-scale environment
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate quantitative and qualitative ESG factors through both financial and sustainability lenses
  • Problem-solving skills to enable identification of solutions that align with financial and ethical objectives
  • Effective communication, with ability to convey complex sustainability information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Team player, building relationships with relevant teams and stakeholders across the organization
  • Open to innovation and adaptable to changing sustainability trends and updates / Keen to develop in ESG reporting environment
  • Up-to-date knowledge of IFRS reporting standards and experience of financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of evolving ESG reporting standards (ESRS, ISSB, IFRS) and regulatory frameworks like the EU Taxonomy
