We are looking for empathetic and committed individuals to join our team.

Mencap is on the lookout for dedicated Female Care Assistants to become part of our exceptional team.

In this role, you will have the chance to significantly impact the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will engage with a varied group of individuals, each possessing their own distinct abilities and requirements.

Your responsibilities will range from aiding with everyday tasks to offering emotional support, making you an essential part of their daily lives.

We are seeking 3 female care assistants to join our supportive team. This position involves providing assistance to two wonderful ladies in a home environment.

Work Location
This position is situated in the WN7 area.

Who will you be assisting?
Both ladies have learning disabilities and complex health requirements, necessitating comprehensive support in all facets of daily living.

What will your responsibilities include?
Your tasks will encompass medication management, mobility assistance, peg feeding, and personal hygiene care. These ladies enjoy music, arts and crafts, football, and the company of others.

What are the working hours?
Shifts are from 8am to 8pm across 7 days, so flexibility is essential.

We are looking for candidates who possess: A genuine enthusiasm for assisting others. Strong communication skills and the ability to foster meaningful connections. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A positive and compassionate attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

A driving license is preferred but not mandatory.

Contract Options:

·Full-time: 37.5 hours

·Part-time: flexible hours based on availability

Shift Details:

Our services operate 24/7. We prepare the schedules at least 4 weeks in advance, allowing you to plan your personal and social commitments.

·Day Shifts: Between 07:00-22:00

·Waking Nights: 22:00-07:00

There is also an opportunity for sleep-in shifts, which offer an enhanced flat rate payment.
