Job Title: Yard Assistant and FLT Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Yard Assistant and FLT Driver to join our team at Equans. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials and equipment within our warehouse and yard areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move materials and equipment within the warehouse and yard areas.
  • Assist with the daily removal and segregation of waste from areas within the Whitman Labs boundary to the dedicated Waste Segregation Areas.
  • Transfer chemicals, flammable goods, and non-flammable scrap in and out of the Manufacturing facility as requested by client stakeholders.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous waste experience is essential.
  • Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence is essential.
  • DSEARS training is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience in chemical handling is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.
  • IOSH Training is preferred but not essential.
