Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team. As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teachers to contribute to students' Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual needs academically and socially.
- Plan and deliver interventions alongside teachers to support students' academic and social development.
- Support in managing pupil behavior and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- De-escalate situations within the classroom, adhering to safeguarding procedures.
- Report any safeguarding concerns using the school's referral procedures and safeguarding policies.
Requirements:
- Previous school experience or a supportive role, such as a support worker, youth worker, teaching assistant, carer, intervention, or tutor.
- Ability to drive, with mileage covered.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscription to the DBS Update Service.
