Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Assembler to join our production team at our Desford, Leicestershire location. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for the assembly of parts or components to produce Building Construction Product (BCP) machines, following specified work orders.
Key Responsibilities- Follow documented standard work procedures to perform safe and defect-free assembly of parts and components.
- Work on several stations to support planned and unplanned absences.
- Train and coach Assembly Technicians and Apprentices to standard work instructions.
- Participate in product and process improvement dialogues.
- Adhere to Caterpillar's Values in Action: Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Teamwork, Sustainability.
- Experience demonstrating three stations within CWL 90 line.
- Demonstrable high level of assembly or mechanical aptitude and accuracy.
- Fully flexible approach to the job role and responsibilities.
- Thorough working knowledge of the area and build experience of the workstations.
- Ability to use hand/power tools and lifting equipment.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with various levels of the organization.
