Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist

As a key player in the Supply Chain and Procurement sector, you will be instrumental in driving the efficiency of our operations. This role involves a blend of strategic planning and tactical execution to ensure the seamless flow of materials and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in the procurement of materials and subcontracted services, ensuring adherence to cost, quality, and delivery standards.
- Support the formulation of procurement strategies and engage with both internal and external stakeholders to align with project objectives.
- Facilitate supplier selection and contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with departmental protocols.
- Manage supplier relationships effectively, maintaining oversight of the open order book in accordance with project timelines.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement strategies to mitigate risks.
- Act as the primary liaison for assigned suppliers and customers, ensuring clear communication and adherence to export control regulations.
- Support the Line Manager in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications:
- Experience in a Procurement or Supply Chain role.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- Familiarity with procurement tools and IT systems (SAP knowledge is advantageous).
- Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Purchase to Pay processes.
- Experience with tender processes and supplier evaluations.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements related to purchasing contracts and framework agreements.
Additional Information:
Adherence to company policies and procedures, including quality systems and responsible business conduct, is essential. You will also be expected to ensure that suppliers are aware of their obligations in these areas.
