Job Title: ENT SpecialistWe are seeking two highly skilled ENT Specialists to join our esteemed team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our ENT department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Main Responsibilities:- Manage theatre lists and run independent outpatient clinics
- Participate in the consultant rota and provide on-call cover for the provision of the service
- Develop and implement effective patient care plans
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise at time of appointment
- Medical Degree from a recognised university
- Completed specialist training in ENT/ otolaryngology or recognised equivalent qualification
- Meets the criteria set out in the Specialist grade generic capabilities framework for both generic and ENT specific capabilities
- FRCS in otolaryngology
- Completed a minimum of 12 years' medical work (either continuous period or in aggregate) since obtaining a primary medical qualification of which a minimum of six years should have been in a relevant specialty
- Equivalent years' experience in relevant specialty from other medical grades including from overseas
- Practices with professional values and behaviours expected of all doctors as set out in GMC Good Medical Practice and Generic Professional Capabilities Framework
- Demonstrates the underpinning subject-specific competencies
- Critically reflects on own competence, understands own limits, and seeks help when required
- Communicates effectively and can share decision making with patients, relatives, and carers
- Awareness of leadership responsibilities as a clinician and demonstrates appropriate leadership behaviour
- Develops effective relationships across teams and contributes to work and success of these teams
- Critically assesses own learning needs and ensures a personal development plan reflects both clinical practice and the relevant generic capabilities
- Takes prompt action where there is an issue with the safety or quality of patient care
- Collaborates with MDT and interprofessional teams to manage risks and issues across organisations and settings
- Able to provide safe, caring, and effective services
- Values and behaviours that reflect the Trust values
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Ability to travel independently to meet the needs of the post
