About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advertising Sales Executive to join our team at Mill Media. As our first ad sales hire, you will play a crucial role in growing our advertising business and developing strategic partnerships with key clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new clients and grow existing relationships
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including approaching and selling to clients, managing relationships, and drafting ad copy
  • Work closely with our editorial team to understand our unique value proposition and communicate it to clients
  • Collaborate with our design team to create engaging ad campaigns and sponsorship opportunities
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to stay ahead of the market

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in advertising sales, preferably in a media or digital advertising environment
  • Strong network of contacts among larger clients, particularly in the London area
  • Ability to cultivate a wide range of sponsors from different sectors
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a track record of meeting targets and exceeding expectations
