Night Hygiene Team Leader

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a newly established position within our Hygiene department at Cranswick Country Foods PLC. The successful applicant will cultivate a culture of continuous enhancement, leading a dedicated hygiene team to uphold the cleanliness of the facility throughout the night shift. This role entails overall accountability for the daily operations of the night hygiene shift, overseeing the hygiene Team Leaders, and serving as the primary contact for all night-related tasks, challenges, and opportunities.
Adhering to health and safety regulations while ensuring food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are consistently met is of utmost importance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the hygiene team to guarantee that all cleaning tasks are executed as required, maintaining accurate records to demonstrate due diligence.
- Collaborating with production team leaders/managers to ensure that all areas are kept to the highest standards.
- Ensuring that all areas and equipment are thoroughly cleaned before being returned to production, and addressing any discrepancies with the Hygiene Team Leaders.
- Monitoring the concentration of cleaning chemicals to ensure they meet required specifications and taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Conducting appraisals and one-on-one meetings with Hygiene Team Leaders.
- Auditing the cleaning performance of the night hygiene team alongside the Hygiene Team Leader to ensure compliance with required standards, providing guidance on expectations.
- Completing comprehensive training and maintaining records for the hygiene team.
- Assisting the Night Hygiene Manager in managing stock levels of energy, water, chemicals, and cleaning supplies.
- Supporting the Night Hygiene Manager in ensuring compliance with all relevant customer and legal standards throughout the facility.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for all operational and engineering colleagues during on-site hours to assist with any requests.
Candidate qualifications include:

Additionally, you will be required to undertake any training deemed necessary by the company to fulfill the above responsibilities.
Work hours: Shift pattern 3 on, 1 off - 3 on, 7 off from 6:15 PM to 7:00 AM (flexibility around core working hours is essential).
Applicants should possess strong communication and organizational skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power BI) and the ability to foster positive relationships, promote team morale, and demonstrate energy and innovation.
