About the RoleWe are seeking a newly qualified ACA with up to 1 year of post-qualification experience to join our team. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing month-end journals, including intercompany, interest, and management charges postings. You will also assist in the preparation of month-end holding company management accounts, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and oversee the chart of accounts to ensure consistency across group companies.
You will work collaboratively across various finance teams, contribute to ad-hoc projects, and support the internal tax team to resolve issues as required for submission of tax returns on a timely basis.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare month-end journals, including intercompany, interest, and management charges postings.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end holding company management accounts.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee the chart of accounts to ensure consistency across group companies.
- Support the internal tax team to resolve issues as required for submission of tax returns on a timely basis.
- Work collaboratively across various finance teams and contribute to ad-hoc projects.
- Newly qualified ACA with up to 1 year of post-qualification experience.
- Technically proficient and strong double-entry bookkeeping skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel capability.
- Strong time management and organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met and issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to learn and work as an effective team member.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A continuous improvement mentality with the ability to challenge existing processes.
