We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced English Curriculum Lead to join our team at Barnardo's. As a key member of our education department, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our English curriculum across all key stages.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive English curriculum that meets the needs of our students with Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Speech and Language difficulties, and associated learning difficulties.
- Lead a team of teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality English education to students across all key stages.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum design that meets the needs of our students.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the English curriculum and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to ensure the English curriculum is aligned with national standards and best practices.
- Proven experience in leading the development and implementation of English curricula in a special education setting.
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and relevant specifications up to KS5.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum design.
