Job Title: Children's Senior Residential Support Workers

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Children's Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team at Moxie People. As a key member of our residential care team, you will provide high-quality support to young people aged 14 and above, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

About the Role:
  • Provide excellent care and support to young people within the home, ensuring high levels of emotional and physical care.
  • Ensure a comfortable, safe, and supportive environment for the young people who live within the home.
  • Support the young people to build and manage relationships with their families and others, as well as working with a range of external partners and services.
  • Key working responsibilities with the young people using psychological/trauma-informed practice.
  • Provide a child-centered, kind, and empathic approach to support being given, following a robust safeguarding process.
Requirements:
  • QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
  • Experience of working within safeguarding frameworks.
  • Ability to understand the impact of trauma on children and young people.
  • Effective risk management in a responsive, yet calm manner.
  • Ability to key work and engage with a number of young people who have complex support needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • DBS on the update service or the ability to complete a new DBS check.
What We Offer:
  • Permanent contract.
  • Full-time hours (35 per week).
  • Competitive salary: £25,788 (unqualified) or £28,035 (qualified).
  • 47 sleep-in rates.
  • 2 weeks annual leave, rising to a maximum of 6.6 weeks, plus bank holidays.
  • 8% pension after qualifying period.
