About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sampling Operations Manager to join our team at Anglian Water. As a key member of our laboratory operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of Laboratory Samplers who travel across the Anglian Water region to collect regulatory and operational samples.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day workloads and operations to ensure the team provides a timely, flexible, and accurate service to our customers.
- Deliver sustainable operations through efficiency, lean methodology, and innovative thinking.
- Ensure methods and procedures are maintained and followed, and that Service Level Agreements are adhered to.
- Work closely with the Regional Sampling Manager and Senior Laboratory Operations Manager to develop your own and your team's potential.
- Participate in an operational management rota and standby.
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of sampling programmes and the ability to analyse, compare, interpret, and make decisions based on data.
- Experience of managing a team and identifying development needs, seeking and providing opportunities.
- Ability to work to deadlines, deliver plans, and implement them effectively.
- Desirable: degree in a scientific field and Chartered Status.
