Job Title: Medical and Surgical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical and Surgical Specialist to join our team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. As a Specialty Doctor in Breast Diseases, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to our patients and contributing to the development of our Breast Surgery department.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Contributing to the care of in-patients and outpatients clinics, along with theatre assistance and administrative duties associated with the care of patients.
  • Developing enhanced clinical skills, especially in the assessment and management of acutely ill patients.
  • Working collaboratively with a multi-professional team to deliver clinical and quality targets agreed nationally and locally.
  • Following patients throughout their clinical pathways and contributing to the development of our Breast Surgery department.
Requirements:
  • MBBS, MBChB or equivalent medical qualification.
  • MRCS.
  • RCS Specialty Skills Course in Breast Diseases.
  • Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Shall have completed at least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in Breast Surgery or as a fixed term specialty trainee in Breast Surgery.
