About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Youth Support Worker to join our team at Quality Service Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to young people in a residential childcare setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Demonstrate resilience, patience, and understanding in challenging situations.
  • Use your natural flair to bring joy and positivity to the lives of those you work with.
  • Provide emotional support and be an attentive listener to our young residents.
  • Participate in activities such as film nights, baking sessions, and games with the young residents.
  • Work a 3-week rotating shift pattern, averaging 40 hours per week, with shifts between 08:30 to 22:00.

Requirements:

  • Hold valid mandatory training certificates relating to the support of vulnerable young people.
  • Have a minimum of 3 months of paid experience working within a residential childcare setting.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate, dated within the past 6 months or registered on the update service.
  • Hold a NVQ Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent) qualification.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of £12.00 to £12.75, dependent on the days/hours worked.
  • The opportunity to progress into a permanent position after 12 weeks.
